The importance of copy

 Copy is the most important part of magazines. Without it, a magazine would just be a bunch of pictures without any meaning. Copy gives the viewer guidance which allows the viewer to know what is going on in the image. 

Take this picture for example. By looking at this photo, you might just think it is a picture of a hockey player, but in reality, the rest of the article is about a possible trade with the player involved in the photo. Without a caption or copy, you would have never known that.
